The BeSoGreat project has reached its final stage, marking a significant milestone in a collaborative initiative that brought together businesses, experts and stakeholders with the aim of developing innovative and sustainable solutions for the plastics processing industry.
Co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg Italy - Austria programme, BeSoGreat focused on the valorisation of brewing by-products, in particular spent grains, transforming them into sustainable raw materials for the development of bioplastics. The project demonstrated how it is possible to reintegrate an industrial residue into the production cycle, contributing to the development of more circular and sustainable business models.
As a technical partner, Deroma contributed to the transition from research to concrete solutions, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and environmental sustainability.
Deroma’s participation in the BeSoGreat project reflects the Group’s ongoing commitment to innovation, with a particular focus on new business models linked to the circular economy and industrial collaboration. This approach is driven by the shared goal of transforming sustainable innovation into real market opportunities, through dialogue between research and industry.
